The Truman Show, a brilliant movie that explores the idea of one's reality being nothing more than a behemoth of a reality television show. Starring a fantastic Jim Carey, the movie was not only entertaining, but also thought provoking. There was not a dull moment throughout, a couple of annoying continuity errors though, but i doubt anyone would notice. Acting - fan-bloody-tastic. Dialog - perfect and consistently entertaining. Camerawork - a couple scenes could have been improved, but for the most part - pretty good.
Definitely check it out!

ReplyDeleteI saw this when it first came out and wasn't too impressed. I saw it again years later and discovered what all the talk was about. It truly is a great film, one my younger batman, pokemon self couldn't understand.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame comedians cant win when they do a drama. Adam Sandler is stuck doing terrible comedies now since people refuse to see his serious roles.

ReplyDeleteUnderrated... VERY underrated film. I love the concept, the excecution and even jim carrey not doing his usual role. It was too much over the top to the end, I think that was what made it fade.
